How much does it cost to list an item?
Listing items on UShare is completely free. We only take a small 10% service fee when you complete a rental. There are no monthly fees, no listing fees, and no hidden charges.
What if my item gets damaged during a rental?
Every rental on UShare is covered by our Protection Plan, which provides up to $10,000 in damage coverage. Renters also pay a refundable security deposit set by you. In the rare case of damage, our resolution team will help mediate and process claims quickly.
How do payments work?
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Renters pay when they book, and funds are held in escrow until the item is picked up. Owners receive payouts within 24 hours of a completed rental directly to their linked bank account.
Can I cancel a booking?
Renters can cancel up to 24 hours before the rental start date for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours receive a 50% refund. Owners can cancel at any time, though frequent cancellations may affect their profile rating.
How do I know I can trust the other person?
All UShare users go through ID verification. Both renters and owners have public profiles with ratings, reviews, and rental history. You can read reviews from other community members before accepting a booking or renting an item.
What items can I list on UShare?
You can list almost anything: tools, sports equipment, camping gear, party supplies, electronics, baby items, vehicles, and more. Items must be legal, safe, and in working condition. We do not allow weapons, hazardous materials, or perishable goods.
Is UShare available outside Vancouver?
We are currently focused on the Greater Vancouver area, including Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, North Vancouver, and surrounding communities. We plan to expand to other Canadian cities soon. Join our waitlist to be notified when we launch in your city.
